My name is Sandy and I’m a full time student at the University of British Columbia. Blogging has always been something I wanted to try. However, I wanted to join the Blogosphere with some sort of message.
I started Just a Date Blog (JaD) to share fun adventures and things to do around the Greater Vancouver area, whether just with friends or that special someone. I first came up with the idea for this blog in July 2010 to help people deal with the overwhelming prospect of planning events. I believe we all want to have fun, but the finer details often elude us. Luckily, this is where I can help. I want to help plan dates and outings. Essentially, I aim to introduce new things for people to try in Vancouver.
I am currently studying in the Sauder School of Business in the University of British Columbia. While studying as a full time student, I'm also working in the hospitality industry as well as doing volunteering work in the community. In school, I'm involved in planning conferences and recently planned an event centered around branding for university students.
